• Missouri Man Charged With Fleeing Alton Police Twice In Two Days (riverbender.com) — A 46-year-old Troy resident is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly fleeing Alton Police and Madison County deputies on two consecutive days while driving more than 21 miles per hour over the speed limit. Court petitions say he ignored traffic signals, kept driving after a tire was disabled by stop sticks, then ran on foot before being detained. He remains in custody at the Madison County Jail. 
• Stephanie Joan Carpenter (ozarkradionews.com) — Family and friends are remembering Stephanie Joan Carpenter, who was born in Troy in 1967 and later made her home in southern Missouri. A devoted homemaker, musician, and mother of ten, she passed away on April 11 at age 59. Funeral services are set for Friday, April 17, at Liberty Faith Church in Norwood, with burial in Knobel, Arkansas.
