• Miles to Go: Webster Groves teen is picking up garbage wherever he finds it, helping keep STL clean (firstalert4.com) — A Webster Groves teen, Miles Drury, has spent years cleaning up trash at Larson Park and beyond, even hauling a thousand pounds from a hidden dump in town. Now 17, he leads river cleanups around St. Louis, runs his own cleanup LLC, and regularly volunteers to keep local parks and sports fields cleaner. His family hopes more neighbors will pitch in.

• ‘Hands-on, real training': Webster Groves police undergo realistic scenario training (firstalert4.com) — Webster Groves police officers are undergoing intensive, scenario-based training this spring to better handle high-stress encounters and improve public safety. Using actors, realistic settings, and real-time feedback, instructors push officers to explain their split-second decisions and practice de-escalation. The department is among the first in the region to adopt this hands-on Street Officer Critical Skills program.

• 2027 Bass Pro Tournament of Champions field announced (sgfcitizen.org) — Webster Groves High School’s powerhouse boys basketball program is headed back to Springfield in January 2027, representing Missouri in the nationally known Bass Pro Tournament of Champions. The Statesmen will join Logan-Rogersville, Hillcrest, and elite programs from around the country, with four-star Mizzou commit Scottie Adkinson expected to lead Webster Groves’ bid for another big-stage showing.
