Legals for June, 11 2026 (leaderadvertiser.com) — Bigfork residents are invited to weigh in on a proposed all-alcohol license for The Last Best Place Orchard on Highway 35, with protests due by June 18 and any hearing possibly held in Bigfork. Developer Proposes 97-slip Bigfork Bay Marina in ‘Jurisdictionally Complex' Project (flatheadbeacon.com) — A large 97-slip marina with floating docks, a public swimming area, and a boardwalk is being proposed for Bigfork Bay where the Swan River meets Flathead Lake. Regulators have tabled the permit until the developer submits geotechnical and hydrologic reports by July 6, after which another public meeting will offer residents a chance to weigh in.
   

3. VCSU selects three incoming freshmen as McCready Scholars for 2026-27 (fargostandard.com) — A Bigfork High School senior, Noah Hamilton-Dixon, has been named one of just three McCready Scholars at Valley City State University, earning full tuition, fees, and books for up to four years. He plans to study applied kinesiology and compete in cross country and track, while two other recipients hail from North Dakota and Minnesota.
   

4. High School Rodeo Finals hit Majestic Valley Arena (dailyinterlake.com) — One of Montana’s biggest youth rodeo weekends is coming up at Majestic Valley Arena, and Bigfork’s own Tess Megill is sitting fifth in state pole bending standings.
