For Billings travelers and airport workers, this means an extra layer of runway safety and fewer chances for dangerous miscommunication on the tarmac.

Yellowstone County considers funding expansion of Alternatives program to ease jail overcrowding (ktvq.com) — Yellowstone County leaders are weighing a $100,000 yearly commitment to expand a Billings-based Alternatives probation program that keeps some first-time, nonviolent felony offenders out of jail. Planned Parenthood of Montana plans new Bozeman clinic, expanding abortion services (kpax.com) — Planned Parenthood of Montana, which already operates a health center in Billings, is expanding abortion and reproductive health services with a new clinic planned near Montana State University in Bozeman by summer 2027. Leaders say many Gallatin Valley patients now travel to Billings or use telehealth, and they're fundraising to finish construction and cover first-year operating costs.
