Montana State offers fall flu vaccine clinics for students (helenair.com) — Montana State University in Bozeman is hosting several walk-in flu vaccine clinics this fall for students at the Student Wellness Center and SUB Ballroom B, with most shots covered by insurance and a low-cost option without coverage. Alongside the clinics, Student Health Services continues to offer primary care, urgent visits, dental, mental health counseling and an on-site pharmacy for enrolled students.
   

2. FWP urges Bozeman residents to protect urban wildlife (bozemandailychronicle.com) — Bozeman residents are being urged to help manage growing urban deer and bear activity, after a local deer tested positive for chronic wasting disease in 2025. Haven sees increase in support line visits as housing program provides safe space for survivors (bozemandailychronicle.com) — Haven is seeing a sharp rise in calls, texts and webchats from survivors while its new Supportive Transitions housing program offers up to 18 months of safe, communal living in Bozeman. With Bozeman's housing crisis making it harder to leave abuse, the nonprofit is partnering with local schools, hospitals, police and housing groups to connect survivors with counseling, education and long-term stability.
   

4. Cryogenics boot camp at MSU's QCORE trains students (helenair.com) — Montana State University in Bozeman just launched a hands-on cryogenics boot camp at its QCORE quantum research facility, training students alongside local employers like Montana Instruments and Honeywell Aerospace. Ten participants earned digital badges while working with ultra-cold systems and rare-earth crystals, building skills that feed directly into Bozeman's growing photonics and quantum tech workforce.
   

5. MSU student organization host Hispanic heritage celebration (nbcmontana.com) — Montana State University's Fuerza LatinX is marking Hispanic Heritage Month in Bozeman with food, music, and cultural activities that welcome the wider community. Organizers highlight the growing Latino presence and workforce needs in Bozeman while inviting residents to learn about the diversity of Latino cultures through upcoming events across the Gallatin Valley.
