Kalispell officials consider changes to downtown parking enforcement (kpax.com) — Downtown Kalispell parking rules may soon change as city officials and Downtown Kalispell Forward refine a new enforcement strategy after the parking attendant’s retirement. Ideas include 90‑minute limits in prime spots, employee permits, higher fines, clearer signage, and tech-based enforcement, with a draft plan headed to City Council in May and public input promised.

Flathead Warming Center uses $15,000 grant to help unhoused people access medical care (kpax.com) — Kalispell’s Flathead Warming Center is using a new $15,000 grant to help unhoused guests afford medical care, from co-pays to prescriptions. Staff say they’ve already assisted about a dozen people this year, speeding up access to needed medications and reducing financial barriers for vulnerable neighbors.

Law roundup: Vigilante takes parking enforcement into his own hands (dailyinterlake.com) — Kalispell residents can glimpse a recent batch of local police calls, including officers counseling a self-appointed parking enforcer after he confronted a pregnant driver. The roundup also covers a stolen bike, a hit-and-run sleuthed by a car owner, and traffic and safety concerns near Flathead High School.

Belgrade, Billings West, and Helena go undefeated at Helena Crossover softball tournament (swxlocalsports.com) — Kalispell’s AA softball teams Flathead and Glacier both took the field in Helena’s Crossover tournament, facing strong showings from Billings West and Belgrade. Flathead dropped games to Billings West and Belgrade, while Glacier lost a heartbreaker on a walk-off homer and later fell to Billings West in a high-scoring matchup.
