Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks says the change, backed by video surveillance, is meant to curb vandalism while still allowing late-exiting floaters to trigger the gate from inside the site.

F-bomb leads to counseling for city manager (livingstonenterprise.com) ā Livingston city commissioners have ordered City Manager Grant Gager to complete deāescalation training and verbal counseling after a hallway confrontation with fire department leaders involving profane language. In a rare public personnel hearing, officials and residents reviewed surveillance footage, heard from Human Resources, and discussed whether city policies need updating so subordinates arenāt tasked with investigating their own boss.

3. Art & culture-filled strolls return downtown (bozone.com) ā Livingston Art Walks are back this summer, with the first 2026 stroll through downtown galleries set for Friday, June 26 from 5:30ā8:30 p.m. and continuing every fourth Friday through September 25. Park County residents can mingle with artists, enjoy refreshments, and explore new work, while Bozemanās separate art walks offer another nearby option for art-filled evenings.

4. Stamp of the Wild: Tom Murphy's Bison Imagery Hits Mailboxes (mountainjournal.org) ā Livingston wildlife photographer Tom Murphyās bison image now appears on a new U.S. Postal Service stamp, with more than 10,000 already sold in town during the first week. The longtime local artist uses his Yellowstone wildlife photography to spark conversations about conservation, ethics, and how our behavior around bison, bears, and other animals shapes the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystemās future.
