1. Gate installed at Carter's Bridge Fishing Access Site (livingstonenterprise.com) — If you launch or take out near Livingston at Carter’s Bridge, be aware that a new automated gate now opens at 5 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. daily. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks says the change, backed by video surveillance, is meant to curb vandalism while still allowing late-exiting floaters to trigger the gate from inside the site.

In a rare public personnel hearing, officials and residents reviewed surveillance footage, heard from Human Resources, and discussed whether city policies need updating so subordinates aren’t tasked with investigating their own boss.
