• Eugene Hanson (northernplainsindependent.com) — Wolf Point is mourning longtime resident Eugene Ray Hanson, an 81-year-old retired highway construction worker remembered for his humor, hand-watered garden, and love of hunting and fishing. Born in Malta and later settling in Wolf Point, he worked for the Montana Department of Transportation and Prince Inc. and is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Jennifer, two grandchildren, and sisters Rosie and Greta.

• Whitefish artist with Indigenous roots featured in solo exhibit at the Glacier Art Museum (dailyinterlake.com) — A Whitefish-based Indigenous artist who grew up in Wolf Point is being featured in a solo exhibit at the Glacier Art Museum, including her film “Wolf Point: Red Road Stories.” Her new works blend Assiniboine cultural symbolism with contemporary techniques, and locals visiting Kalispell can meet her at a June 18 reception or an August gallery talk.
