• Chadron Falls to Torrington (chadronradio.com) — Chadron’s Platte Valley Bank American Legion Post 12 juniors and seniors both dropped home games to Torrington, with the juniors losing 15–0 and the seniors falling 5–3 despite a strong outing from pitcher Tobin Landen. The juniors now get six days off before traveling to Alliance on June 16, while the seniors begin their annual College World Series trip with a Thursday stop in Ogallala.

• Chadron Juvenile Cited for Car Crash; Suspected Drunk Adult Passenger Arrested (ruralradio.com) — Chadron police say a 14-year-old was caught driving when a car crashed into a parked vehicle near Pine and Second Street, leading to an adult passenger’s arrest. Officers suspect the adults in the car had been drinking and allowed the juvenile to drive. One passenger had minor injuries, the teen was cited, and the adult is jailed on child abuse and warrant charges.

• Chadron State College provides shelter and support during South Fork Fire response (nepanhandlenews.com) — Chadron State College is serving as a key hub for South Fork Fire response, hosting incident command and opening Andrews Hall as a shelter for evacuees. Displaced residents from Crawford and Sioux County can stay on campus, bring pets and personal necessities, and access daily meals through Sunday, June 14. An on-call number is available for entry and updates are posted online.
