• Fancher named as NAIA Scholar-Athlete (dcpostgazette.com) — A Falls City native, junior baseball player Sam Dunn, has been honored as a 2026 NAIA Scholar-Athlete for Peru State College, recognizing both his academic and athletic achievements. He’s one of 14 Bobcat baseball players to earn the distinction, which requires at least a 3.5 GPA and a year at the school, capping a season that ended with a conference tournament appearance.
