• Gretna School Board discusses pay increases (dcpostgazette.com) — Substitute teachers in Gretna Public Schools could see daily pay rise next year as the district looks to stay ahead of Metro-area averages and keep classrooms covered. School board members also reviewed a growing special education budget and honored longtime theater teacher Carole Carraher by naming Gretna High’s theater after her. 
• Gretna expands Good Life District (dcpostgazette.com) — Gretna’s City Council has approved a $1.5 million pedestrian overpass that will connect the Promenade to the community complex over Highway 6/31, targeted for completion in 2028–29. Council members also expanded the city’s Good Life District boundaries and advanced several annexation, rezoning, water main, and sewer measures that will shape future growth around Gretna.
