• County will be installing lights at 25th Street intersection (justmelaniew.com) — If you drive near 25th Street and N. Delaware Avenue, expect new blinking red lights and extra warning signs as York County responds to repeated stop-sign run-throughs there. Roads officials say they may also add rumble bars and are working through rain-related road damage across the county, asking residents to report problem spots so crews can prioritize repairs.
   

• York Woman Arrested After Pursuit with Troopers (chadronradio.com) — A 28-year-old woman from York was arrested after allegedly fleeing Nebraska state troopers in a stolen car, leading them on a high-speed pursuit through the Omaha area. Authorities say the chase involved wrong-way driving, a park with children present, and damaged fences before the vehicle was abandoned and the suspect was found with K9 assistance. She now faces multiple theft and traffic-related charges.
   

• York's first-inning avalanche buries Ord Seniors (yorknewstimes.com) — York’s Seniors Legion baseball team exploded for 13 first-inning runs and cruised to a 17-0 shutout of Ord, sending 17 hitters to the plate in the opening frame. York pitcher Malekai Conrad threw a three-inning perfect game, while teammates like Emmitt Dirks, Carsen Pieper and Ashtyn Demuth contributed big hits and sharp defense in front of local fans.
