• Elko County Sheriff's Office arrests man for failing to register as a sex offender (2news.com) — Elko County residents should know that deputies arrested a man Thursday after yearly sex offender compliance checks allegedly found he was not properly registered. The Elko County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team used gas canisters at a Deeth home before the man surrendered and was booked on registration, obstruction, and firearm-related charges.
