• Tule Springs Park reopens in North Las Vegas after closure over legal dispute (8newsnow.com) — Tule Springs Regional Park has finally reopened in North Las Vegas after a lengthy closure tied to a legal dispute, bringing relief to nearby residents who still paid HOA dues during the shutdown. City officials say most repairs, including bathrooms, splash pad, and the entrance gate, are complete, with a final status check scheduled by the City of North Las Vegas in June.
   

• North Las Vegas making strides in improving EMS response times, fire chief says (ktnv.com) — North Las Vegas is seeing faster ambulance and EMS responses thanks to a revamped partnership between the city fire department and MedicWest, with units now strategically placed to fill coverage gaps. Response-time goals for the most serious calls have improved significantly since 2022, and the reopening of Station 51 later this year is expected to boost performance even more for residents citywide.
   

• Mass casualty drill held at Doc Romero Park (news3lv.com) — North Las Vegas Fire Department joined a major mass-casualty training drill at Doc Romero Park, working alongside Las Vegas, Henderson, and county agencies to practice responding to a simulated IED explosion. The exercise focused on how first responders and MountainView Hospital coordinate to triage victims, move patients, and save as many lives as possible during a large-scale emergency.
