• North Woodstock hiker dies on Mt. Willard trail (wmur.com) — A 69-year-old North Woodstock man died Wednesday after suffering a medical emergency while hiking the Mt. Willard Trail in Carroll, despite CPR and other life-saving efforts. New Hampshire Fish and Game officials responded around 3 p.m., but the cause of the medical event remains unknown. The incident underscores the risks hikers can face even on popular local trails.
