• Social services agency names new president and CEO (keenesentinel.com) — Residents using Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services in Charlestown should know the agency has named Karen Gomes as its permanent president and CEO after she served as interim leader since November. The nonprofit, which also operates in Keene and Peterborough, serves about 2,000 people daily with hospice, senior meals, transportation, and other in-home support programs. 
• Hildegard Potter (concordmonitor.com) — Many longtime Charlestown families will remember Hildegard Potter, who once ran the Alpine Nursery School in town and has passed away at 92. A devoted early childhood educator and former Charlestown resident, she later continued teaching in Concord, where an informal gathering will be held at her home at a later date.
