2 Concord Felons Face Gun, Drug Charges While 2 Women Are Arrested On Child Endangerment, Meth Charges

CONCORD, NH — Two felons from Concord face drug and weapon charges while two women were arrested on child endangerment and methamphetamine charges after incidents or investigations during a 24-hour period earlier this month, according to police and court documents.

Allison C. Richardson, born in 1995, of Concord, was arrested at 3:09 p.m. on Aug. 20 on endangering the welfare of a child and meth-related crime-near a child charges after an incident or investigation on Thompson Street.

At 1:58 p.m. on Aug. 21, Ryan S. Sherman, 43, with a last known address of Palm Street in Concord, was arrested on felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, meth-related crime-near child, possession of drugs, and two possession of controlled drug charges after an incident or investigation on Beacon Street.

Taylor M. Bachelder, born in 1992, was arrested a little more than an hour later at 3:05 p.m. on Aug. 21 on possession of a controlled drug, endangering the welfare of a child, and meth-related crime-near a child charges after an incident or investigation on Palm Street.

A fourth person, Cody P. Walsh, 28, of Rumford Street in Concord, was arrested at 3:57 p.m. on Aug. 21 on handguns-armed career criminal, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, receiving stolen property-firearm, felonious use of a firearm, controlled drug: sale, etc., meth, less than 1 ounce, and three possession of a controlled drug-subsequent charges. The charges stemmed from an investigation or incident on Beacon Street.

Limited information is available about all the charges because of sealed records and a lack of filing by Concord police in district court.

In an affidavit filed against Sherman, detectives conducted “a felony motor vehicle stop” of a 2013 Chevrolet pickup truck turning onto Beacon Street from Rumford Street just after 1:45 p.m. on Aug. 21.

Detectives, the report stated, had search warrants for Sherman and his pickup truck. Sherman, the detective wrote, was driving the truck and parked on the wrong side of the street during the stop. Inside the truck was a child and Bachelder, the report stated.

During the search of the truck, police found a small bag on the passenger floorboard where the grip of a handgun was seen from the bag, an affidavit said. It was later identified as a Taurus 33C 9 mm, with six bullets in the magazine but no bullet in the chamber, the detective wrote. Sherman’s wallet was also in the bag, the affidavit said.

Sherman is a felon due to a robbery conviction in February 2011, so he is not allowed to possess a firearm, the report stated.

Also inside the bag were three individually wrapped bags of powder, believed to be heroin/fentanyl, as well as a small bag of a crystal-like substance believed to be meth.

Sherman was arrested and held at the county jail. He offered no pleas to the charges on Aug. 24. The possession of drugs charge was changed to transport drugs in a motor vehicle. Sherman had a probable cause hearing in Concord District Court on Monday.

Walsh was detained and held without bail and offered no plea to several of his charges on Aug. 24. The affidavit connected to his case was sealed after a request by the city prosecutor’s office. Walsh is due in Concord District Court on Sept. 3 for a probable cause hearing.

Documents concerning the arrest of Bachelder and Richardson had not been filed with the court as of Friday.

Previous Charges

Sherman has been arrested and convicted of several crimes dating back to 2010.

In March 2010, Sherman was charged with robbery in Concord. A few months later, he was charged with theft and forgery. In February 2011, Sherman pleaded guilty to all three charges and was sentenced to 12 months in jail on the forgery charge and a one- to three-year prison sentence, suspended for five years, on the robbery charge. According to court records, Sherman pleaded guilty to violation of probation five times between 2011 and 2015, including a Concord receiving stolen property conviction and a Pittsfield burglary conviction in January 2015.

Sherman has also been arrested on domestic violence, simple assault, and receiving stolen property charges, according to posts on Patch.

Walsh was previously convicted on a felony drug charge in Merrimack County Superior Court in February 2018. He was charged as an armed career criminal because he was previously convicted of “qualifying felonies” in Merrimack County in September 2016, April 2017, and February 2018, according to his complaints.

According to court records, Walsh’s crimes included forgery, obstruction, and drug charges in Franklin, acts prohibited in Concord, and violation of probation or parole three times. He has been arrested on driving under the influence, transport drugs in a motor vehicle, revocation, suspension, prowling, and possession charges, according to posts on Patch.

Bachelder has been arrested more than a dozen times in Concord on various charges, ranging from drug possession, revocation, stalking, breach, assault, domestic violence, and warrants, during the past dozen or so years. In May 2025, she was charged with felony drug possession. In December 2025, Bachelder pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor premises where drugs were kept charges. She received two 12-month sentences and $868 in fines, all suspended for three years. In June, she completed her court-ordered monitoring program.

Bachelder was also previously charged with child endangerment in May 2025.

According to a post on Patch from September 2021, Richardson was charged with child endangerment after an incident in Manchester.
