Bow Spa Searched During Human Trafficking And Prostitution Investigation

CONCORD, NH — A business in Bow is under investigation by local, state, and federal authorities for suspected human trafficking and prostitution-related offenses, according to the New Hampshire Department of Justice.

Investigators executed a search warrant Tuesday at Yihong Spa, 699 Route 3A, as part of the case. In conjunction with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, the Bow Police Department and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations are continuing the investigation. The department said the investigation has been underway for several months and is examining whether people associated with the business engaged in criminal conduct, including human trafficking and prostitution-related offenses.

No arrests were made and the investigation remains active.

“Human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation can occur in any community, including right here in New Hampshire,” Attorney General John Formella said. “The Department of Justice is committed to working with our local and federal law enforcement partners to identify these operations, protect vulnerable individuals, and hold those responsible accountable.”

The case is part of what the Department of Justice described as an ongoing statewide effort to combat illicit massage businesses and the human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation that can occur within them. Since launching a targeted enforcement initiative in 2024, the department said it has worked with local, state and federal partners to investigate and shut down illicit massage businesses across New Hampshire.

The department said its efforts include criminal investigations, regulatory enforcement and a Landlord Engagement Program that works with property owners to identify and address illicit massage businesses operating on their properties. Enforcement efforts are focused on traffickers, business operators and sex buyers, not people who may themselves be victims of exploitation.
