Court records outline breach of bail, assault, disorderly conduct, and smoking violations, highlighting ongoing public safety and enforcement issues affecting everyday life in the city center.
   

3. Man returns 132-year-old overdue book after Concord Public Library freezes fines (nhpr.org) — Concord Public Library's year-long freeze on fines inspired a former resident to finally return a magazine checked out 132 years ago, complete with crayon markings from a long-ago reader. Staff confirmed the 1894 Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine was never deaccessioned and now plan to showcase it in the Concord Room, adding a quirky new piece to the city's local history collection.
   

4. Concord finds rhythm in 37-7 blowout victory (concordmonitor.com) — Concord High's football team finally clicked Friday night, rolling past Alvirne 37-7 behind a dominant defensive line and big special teams plays in Hudson. The Crimson Tide, now 1-1, used a late first-half touchdown and explosive third quarter to pull away and are already eyeing more consistent four-quarter performances heading into their next test against Salem.
   

5. NH Army National Guard units to deploy to southern border (wmur.com) — New Hampshire Army National Guard soldiers from units in Concord and Rochester will deploy to Texas next month for a yearlong southern border mission, supporting aerial and ground reconnaissance. For Concord residents, this means dozens of local Guard members and their families are preparing for another extended federal deployment, the third such border mission for the state's Guard in six years.
