• Two Hikers Rescued (nhfishgame.com) — Emergency crews based out of Franconia responded Monday evening to rescue an injured hiker deep in the Pemigewasset Wilderness, carrying him out to Lincoln Woods by 2 a.m. Another overdue hiker from Thornton was safely found near his home hours later. Officials are using both incidents to remind Franconia-area hikers to leave trip plans and pack essential safety gear.
