The Exeter 250 Celebration Commission invites the public to attend the American Independence Festival. Celebrate the anniversary of the arrival of the Declaration of Independence to New Hampshire in 1776 at the 36th American Independence Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday July 11, 2026, Downtown Exeter.

- Sweet Liberty Soiree: 7 p.m. at the nearby Fort Rock Farm, hosted by the Exeter Historical Society.
- Parks & Rec Concert: 7 p.m. at the Swasey Parkway Gazebo.
- Fireworks Show: 9 p.m. over the river at Swasey Parkway.
