Lancers Open Season With 50-6 Rout of Timberlane (londonderrytimes.net) — Londonderry football fans just saw the Lancers explode for a 50-6 season-opening win over Timberlane, powered by a dominant defense and three touchdowns from Calan Murphy. Quarterback Sully Daron added two scoring passes as Londonderry piled up 248 yards of offense. The team now turns its momentum toward a home game against Windham High this Friday night.
   

2. Language for Library Director Job Description Approved (londonderrytimes.net) — Londonderry's Leach Library trustees have finalized the job description for a new permanent Library Director, a crucial step toward reopening the main building and stabilizing operations. The posting, now live on the town website and regional job boards, emphasizes facility management, budgeting, and strong communication. Applications are due September 30, with trustees meeting again October 8 at Town Hall.
   

3. Town Raises Awareness on Clean Energy Sales Tactics (londonderrytimes.net) — Londonderry officials are warning residents about confusing CleanChoice Energy mailers and door-to-door visits that can unintentionally switch your electricity supplier away from the town's Community Power Aggregation program. With about 92 percent of households enrolled in the town plan, the Utilities Committee urges anyone unsure about solicitations to call Town Hall and verify licenses or details before sharing bills or signing forms.
   

4. Leach Library reopens in Londonderry (unionleader.com) — Londonderry residents can once again visit Leach Library, which has reopened after more than seven months of repairs and mold remediation following a burst pipe. Most services are back, though staff still need time to restore the used book sale room and food pantry. Community partners, including the police department and schools, helped host programs during the closure.
   

5. Teen From Derry Indicted On Londonderry Rape Charge: Rockingham County Court Indictments (patch.com) — Rockingham County prosecutors have released a new list of indictments, including a charge accusing an 18-year-old Derry resident of raping a woman in Londonderry in September 2025. Other indictments involve alleged burglaries, thefts, drug offenses, and assaults in nearby New Hampshire communities. All cases remain allegations, and the report does not represent convictions.
