Nashua Humane Society expansion nears completion as fundraising continues (inklink.news) — Nashua's Humane Society for Greater Nashua is wrapping up a major building expansion that will temporarily house all operations by mid-September while the original shelter is renovated. Once complete, the project will greatly expand affordable vet care, training, and shelter capacity, helping thousands of local pets and owners each year while the organization continues fundraising to close a $1.6 million gap.
   

4. United Way steps up to the need with donated shoes (nashuatelegraph.com) — United Way of Greater Nashua is wrapping up its Summer Shoe Drive, with Nashua residents and volunteers filling donation boxes at 21 locations, including the Nashua Senior Activity Center on Temple Street. Thousands of pairs have already been collected, and the effort runs through Aug. 31 to support neighbors in need.
   

5. NH patents through August 16 (concordmonitor.com) — Several New Hampshire companies, including multiple based in Nashua, have just been assigned new federal patents ranging from 5G network tools to advanced photonics and AI configuration systems.
