• Fundraiser launched for Conant athlete injured in bike crash (keenesentinel.com) — A Conant Middle High School basketball player was seriously injured in a May 31 trail bike crash in New Ipswich and airlifted to Worcester for treatment. The 17-year-old, who suffered a severe spinal cord injury and back fractures, now has an online fundraiser to help his family with mounting expenses during his long recovery.

• Fire causes heavy damage to two-family home in Winchendon (atholdailynews.com) — Firefighters from New Ipswich joined multiple New Hampshire and Massachusetts departments to help battle a serious house fire in Winchendon that heavily damaged a two-family home. Crews worked in extreme heat, rotating in and out, and several firefighters were treated for heat-related issues while investigators continue to examine the cause.
