Hampton Woman Accused Of Wrong-Way Impaired Driving On Interstate 95 In Portsmouth

Jenna Jerrett was accused of wrong-way intoxicated driving and crashing into a concrete barrier in a breakdown lane Saturday morning.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A Seacoast woman was arrested on felony and other charges after being accused of wrong-way drunken driving and crashing into a concrete barrier early Saturday morning on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth.

Around 1:30 a.m., New Hampshire State Police began receiving reports of the driver of a BMW sedan driving south in the northbound lanes of the highway. Troopers searched the area and found the vehicle, a 2023 3 Series, crashed into a concrete barrier in the right breakdown lane on the northbound side.

The driver, Jenna Jerrett, 40, of Hampton, was accused of showing signs of impairment, according to a report.

After an investigation, she was charged with felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, aggravated driving under the influence of liquor, and reckless operation charges. Jerrett was held on preventive detention in the Rockingham County Jail and was due to be arraigned on Monday.
