NH Marine Patrol, Maine State Troopers, Coast Guard Search For Man Missing In The Piscataqua River
Search and rescue teams spent Sunday morning searching for a man after finding a car on the Piscataqua River on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Search and rescue teams spent several hours on Sunday morning attempting to locate a missing man after an abandoned car was found along the Piscataqua River Bridge on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth.
Around 3:30 a.m., New Hampshire State Police troopers discovered the car and evidence indicating the driver had left it and entered the river. State police coordinated a search with Maine State Police, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Marine Patrol. The effort, a report stated, included a helicopter and multiple rescue boats.
The man, however, was not found, and the search was suspended due to deteriorating weather conditions.

The disappearance is not considered suspicious. State police reminded anyone struggling with a mental health crisis that help is available.
