• Illegal Alien Sentenced for Passport and $300,000 Benefit Fraud in Massachusetts (newbedfordguide.com) — A man unlawfully living in Salem has been sentenced in federal court for long-running passport and benefit fraud tied to Massachusetts programs, and now faces deportation. Prosecutors say he stole a U.S. citizen's identity for decades to obtain licenses, passports, and more than $300,000 in Social Security, SNAP, and MassHealth benefits, as federal authorities ramp up fraud enforcement.
