Donkeys festival to feature children’s entertainer
WILMOT – The Wilmot Public Library’s Donkeys and Donuts Festival will take place Saturday, Oct. 3rd on the Wilmot Town Green from 2-4 p.m. This year children’s entertainer Tom Knight will bring his musical puppet show to the bandstand at 3 p.m.
Road to Independence nonprofit brings two or three donkeys for the festival. Visitors can groom the donkeys, walk them through an obstacle course, and read to them.
A bouncy obstacle course, crafts and games add to the entertainment, and Brothers Donuts are available for sale. “It’s not a fundraiser,” said Hart. “It’s a gift to our community, which is enormously supportive of the library.”
The Friends of Wilmot Public Library donates all the funding for the event, which is free and open to all.
