• Daylight meteor airburst releases energy equal to about 300 tons of TNT over New England (watchers.news) — Residents across New England, including witnesses in Woodstock, reported a loud boom and brief glowing smoke trails from a daytime meteor that exploded high over the region. The American Meteor Society logged nearly 50 reports describing a bright fireball, fragmentation, and sonic-boom-like sounds consistent with a meteor airburst.
