Storms Slam NJ During Weekened Nor'easter: See Rainfall Totals

The Nor'easter storm left New Jersey towns with three days of rainfall that totaled more than seven inches some areas as of Monday morning.

The onslaught of precipitation was enough to force bridges in Jersey Shore towns to close, and leave tens of thousands of people without power in parts of the state.

Dangerous flooding hit many areas along the coast, led by 7.03 inches of accumulated precipitation in Toms River, according to the National Weather Service.

Moving further inland, the region around McGuire-Fort Dix-Lakehurst Air Force Base showed 5.21 inches, followed by 5.19 inches near Old Bridge.

The totals start to drop as you move further north, dropping below three inches once you get beyond Princeton.

Mountainside recorded 2.92 inches and topped the North Jersey chart.

The Oak Ridge area rounded out the bottom of the state, topping out at just .56 inches.

Light rain is lingering throughout many areas of New Jersey on Monday morning and is anticipated to clear out by the afternoon.

The forecast then moves to more cloudy skies and temperatures with highs in the low 60s.
