The developer, 3601 Rt. 66 LLC, even proposed building a 100-room hotel next to the TopGolf, an 8,000-square-foot restaurant and a 2,335-square-foot fast-food restaurant, according to NJ.com.

The TopGolf will be built first.

Also, the QuickChek that was located for decades at Rt. 33 and Jumping Brook Road in Neptune Township closed last week (Sept. 30), and it will relocate to the Top Golf site. It will reopen as a QuickChek gas station next to TopGolf.

The QuickChek had been in business on Rt. 33 for nearly 24 years, since 2002. It was almost immediately replaced by a FreshMart convenience store, NJ.com reported.
