WATCH: Stafford Cops Rescue Man Jumping From Burning Home
Four officers caught someone leaping from the second floor. The police chief said that he was "awestruck by the heroics displayed."

STAFFORD, NJ — Four Stafford police officers are being celebrated as heroes after rescuing someone leaping from the second floor of a burning home.
Sgt. Robert Woodring, SMPO Bryan Brown, Ptl. Zach Otte and Ptl. Sean O'Rourke's heroic actions in the Feb. 13 house fire were caught on bodycam (watch video below).
"Through their quick thinking, teamwork, and selfless actions, the officers were able to safely catch the individual and prevent serious injury or loss of life," Stafford police said.

In the video, the house can be seen completely covered in flames, while the officers urge someone on the second floor balcony to jump.

"You've gotta trust," an officer can be heard shouting to the resident.
The four men come together and are able to catch the resident after jumping, likely saving his life.
“This incident is a powerful example of the dedication and courage of our officers,” said Chief James Haldenwang. “What these officers did was truly amazing. Their quick, selfless actions undoubtedly saved this man’s life, and I am awestruck by the heroics displayed.”
