Jersey Shore Cop Filmed Nude Inmate, Shared Videos: Prosecutor

Atlantic County prosecutors said the officer secretly recorded a female prisoner and shared videos on SnapChat.

VENTNOR, NJ — A Mays Landing grand jury on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, indicted Ryan Bonanni, 25, of Egg Harbor Township on charges tied to videos taken during a woman’s arrest, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The indictment charges Bonanni with second-degree official misconduct, third-degree invasion of privacy and third-degree criminal computer activity.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the charges stem from an incident on July 6, 2025, involving a female prisoner at the Ventnor Police Department. Prosecutors reported that Bonanni surreptitiously took several videos on his personal cell phone of the woman while she in a holding cell.

Prosecutors also reported that Bonanni then sent the videos through SnapChat to several Ventnor police officers as well as to civilian friends and family.

The case was investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Professional Standards and Accountability Unit and the Ventnor Police Department, according to the announcement. The release also notes the level of punishment attached to one of the counts. Second-degree crimes carry a maximum of 10 years in New Jersey State Prison.
