Snow Closures In Basking Ridge On Monday
Due to the winter storm, all Bernards Township Schools and Municipal Offices will be closed on Monday.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Due to the winter storm, several closures are occurring on Monday in Basking Ridge.
All Bernards Township Schools and Bernards Township Municipal Offices will be closed on Monday.
"Bernards Township Department of Public Works crews will be working throughout the night and into the morning to continue clearing snow and ice to keep roadways and municipal facilities safe and passable," according to the Township.

The Municipal Offices will reopen on Tuesday.

- Travel continues to be difficult and hazardous. Stay home and off the roadways. Give salt and plow trucks time to do their jobs and safely clear the roadways.
- Depositing snow and ice into roadways is prohibited and may result in a summons.
- Parking on snow covered streets is prohibited. Vehicles parked on snow covered streets are subject to a summons and being towed.
Additionally, the Bernards Township Board of Education, which was scheduled to be held on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Ridge High School Cafeteria, will now be held virtually.

All Somerset County Library System of New Jersey branches will be closed on Monday.
"While our physical locations are closed, our digital doors remain open. You can continue to access our collection of e-books, audiobooks, and online databases 24/7 at sclsnj.org," according to the SCLSNJ.
Somerset County Vo-Tech will be closed on Monday.
Raritan Valley Community College will also be closed on Monday. All classes and activities are cancelled.
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for Basking Ridge through 1 p.m. on Monday.
Here is a look at the upcoming forecast:
Sunday night: Snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 3 a.m., then a chance of freezing rain and sleet between 3 and 4 a.m., then a chance of snow and freezing rain after 4 a.m. Low around 20. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming light north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch is possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of around an inch is possible.
Monday: A chance of snow and freezing rain before 9 a.m., then a slight chance of snow between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Light north wind becoming west 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.
Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 7. Wind chill values as low as -2. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 19. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
