Bloomfield Plans To Display Artwork On Banners At Local Parks

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Township of Bloomfield is inviting local artists to submit original artwork to be hung on banners at Brookside Park and Lion Gate Park.

The 2026 Municipal Park Art Banner Project is seeking submissions of original artwork, with a deadline of Nov. 1.

Artists are being invited to submit up to three works for consideration. Each work should “add vibrancy and beauty” to the local park system and nearby community, and should create a “sense of community” among residents.

Submissions can be sent to msceurman@bloomfieldtwpnj.com, and should include the artist’s name, home address, phone number and the title of each piece.

Other submission details include:

• Artwork must be submitted vertically in PDF or JPEG format.
• Artists from Bloomfield and Essex County are encouraged to apply. Both emerging and established artists are welcome to submit.
• AI-generated and AI-enhanced artwork will not be accepted.
