First Day Of Fall In Bloomfield: Rain And Cloudy Skies Expected This Week

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A mix of rain and cloudy skies is expected this week in Bloomfield as the first day of fall arrives.

The summer will officially bid Bloomfield adieu when the first day of astronomical fall begins on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The equinox will happen at 8:05 p.m.

The Old Farmer's Almanac Fall Forecast is predicting cooler and wetter conditions than usual in the Northeast parts of the U.S. this year.

Here’s what is in store for Bloomfield this week, according to the National Weather Service:

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Northeast wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Monday Night: A 40 percent chance of rain, mainly after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. Northeast wind 7 to 9 mph.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of rain, mainly before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Northeast wind 11 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Northeast wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. Northeast wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64.

Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 66.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 68.
