Juniper Communities Partners with SilverSneakers® to Expand Evidence-Based Fitness Programming

(January 13, 2026) Bloomfield, NJ - Juniper Communities, a leading owner/operator of senior living communities across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Delaware, and Texas, announced a new partnership with SilverSneakers®, an acclaimed evidence-based fitness program for older adults. Through this partnership, Juniper will offer SilverSneakers® classes led by certified instructors at its communities, supporting healthy aging, physical wellness, and social connection for residents and eligible members of the greater community.

SilverSneakers® is a nationally recognized program supported by extensive research and endorsed by organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health. Studies published in journals including Population Health Management show that participants experience improved physical and emotional health, reduced social isolation, increased physical activity, and fewer difficulties performing daily activities. Research also demonstrates the program’s role in fall prevention through its emphasis on functional movement and balance.

SilverSneakers® classes will be available to Juniper residents as well as individuals with eligible Medicare Advantage plans living in surrounding neighborhoods. All Juniper Communities locations will have certified trainers delivering programming focused on strength, balance, flexibility, and overall well-being.

Currently, SilverSneakers® classes are available at Juniper Communities locations in Chatham, Mount Joy, Paramus, and South Hills. Additional communities, including Brookline, Meadville, and Lebanon, will begin offering classes in January, with remaining Juniper Communities locations launching programs throughout January and February.
