• New Committee Aims To Address Challenges For Disabled In Brick (patch.com) — Brick Township is forming a Mayor's Advisory Council on Disabilities to identify local accessibility challenges and recommend improvements that better include residents with disabilities. Up to 10 members, including disabled residents and school and business representatives, will be appointed for one-year terms starting Jan. 1, with quarterly public meetings at the municipal building. Interested residents can begin emailing resumes and cover letters to the mayor on Nov. 1.
   

• Former Toms River Councilman Terrance Turnbach Springs Accomplice Who Helped Wawa Murder Suspect Escape (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A Brick Township man, Ronald Hagan, has been released under court supervision after a judge rejected prosecutors' push to keep him jailed on charges he hindered the search for a Toms River Wawa murder suspect. His attorney, former Toms River councilman Terrance Turnbach, argued that a co-defendant's accusations were unreliable, while prosecutors cited Hagan's criminal history and alleged interference with investigators. The underlying homicide suspect remains at large.
