• Man, 97, dies in Brick crash after his sedan crosses center line: cops (app.com) — A 97-year-old Brick Township man was killed when his sedan crossed the center line on Drum Point Road near Johnson Road and collided with an SUV, prompting a five-hour road closure. Police say the SUV's Brick driver suffered minor injuries, and investigators are asking anyone who saw the crash or has information to contact Patrolman Vincent Rustico.
   

• Fifth District AHEPA Family Cancer Research Foundation Receives $10K Donation (thenationalherald.com) — A Brick-based cancer research foundation just received a record $10,000 donation from the Delaware Valley Purchasing Group, boosting its seed grants for researchers in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Residents can support the Fifth District AHEPA Family Cancer Research Foundation further by attending its November 7 Celebration Gala in Edison, where this year's grants will be awarded and the Brick-rooted nonprofit's impact will be highlighted.
