Deck Fire Spreads To Home, Displaces Family Of 6 In Bridgewater
Firefighters battled the fire on Monday afternoon in the Township.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A house fire displaced a family of six in Bridgewater on Monday.
At around 3:30 p.m.,North Branch Volunteer Fire Company(NBVFC) and Bridegewater Police responded to a house fire on Rolling Knolls Way in Bridgewater.
When police arrived, all occupants had already evacuated the home, said Bridgewater Police Lt. Stephen Zeichner.

Dan Russoniello with North Branch told Patch the fire started on the deck and spread to the home.
The fire appeared to have stated from a grill on the deck, said Zeichner.

When firefighters arrived at the home, they found the fire on the second floor and in the attic, according to the fire department.
North Branch Fire, Green Knoll Fire, Country Hills Fire, Martinsville Fire, Readington Fire, Far Hills Fire, Martinsville Rescue, and Bradley Gardens Rescue Squad responded.
The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
The Red Cross of New Jersey helped "a family of six with Red Cross emergency assistance for temporary lodging, food, clothing, and other immediate needs."
