Robocon New Jersey Returns to Bridgewater Commons Sept. 26-27 (tapinto.net) — Bridgewater families can dive into RoboCon New Jersey at Bridgewater Commons this Saturday and Sunday, with free robotics battles, hands-on STEAM activities, and live science shows spread across both mall levels. Kids can drive 120-pound robots, explore 3D printing, visit a calm sensory corner, and even help Girl Scouts earn badges, while parents enjoy demonstrations from engineers and local STEM groups.
   

2. 4‑H Medieval Jubilee Returns — Now Featuring a Fairy House Contest (town.news) — Bridgewater families can look forward to the Somerset County 4‑H Medieval Jubilee on Sunday, October 25, at the Ted Blum 4‑H Center on Milltown Road, complete with archery, workshops, and an artisan marketplace. New this year is a Fairy House Contest, with entries due the day before. Admission supports local 4‑H youth programs, and kids 5 and under get in free.
   

3. Saturday Big Central Roundup: No. 6 Bridgewater-Raritan wins lone league game, with two others now on Monday; controversial ending at Cranford-Rahway tilt (cjsportsradio.com) — Bridgewater-Raritan football fans can celebrate a 20–0 shutout win at Westfield, powered by a stifling Panthers defense that held the Blue Devils to single-digit rushing yards. The roundup also previews Bridgewater's upcoming trip to Hunterdon Central and recaps a controversial clock-ending in Cranford-Rahway. It's a busy stretch with weather-shifted games now set for Monday.
   

4. Thousands lose power as fierce nor'easter slams New Jersey (mycentraljersey.com) — Bridgewater could see about 1.8 inches of additional rain overnight as a slow-moving nor'easter brings gusts near 45 mph and the risk of more power outages. With trees still in full leaf and saturated ground, residents should prepare for downed limbs, possible service interruptions, and lingering clouds through Monday as crews work across Central Jersey.
   

5. Louis S. Murante Obituary: Milford, PA and Green Brook, NJ (news-usa.today) — Local residents are invited to pay their respects to Louis S. Murante at visitation services on Wednesday, September 30, at Bridgewater Funeral Home on East Main Street, followed by an evening funeral service. Murante, a retired medical device engineer who once lived in Green Brook, is remembered for his love of the outdoors, deep compassion for animals, and devotion to his close-knit family.
