Shelter-In-Place Lifted In Bridgewater, SWAT Standoff Resolved

Bridgewater Police shared an update on Saturday morning on the more than 24-hour standoff on Hill Lane.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A shelter-in-place has been lifted and the SWAT standoff at Hill Lane has been "resolved," said Bridgewater Police on Saturday morning.

The standoff and a shelter in place for area residents were initiated on Thursday around 9:20 p.m.

Roads surrounding Hill Lane were also closed until Saturday morning.

Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald had said on Friday that the investigation was contained to one home, and "there is no threat to the public at large at this time."

It took more than 24 hours for the situation to be resolved.

Authorities have not released any other information on what happened, if there are any arrests, or injuries.
