Virtua Lourdes Hospital Credited for Sticking By Camden With $500M Expansion (tapinto.net) — Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital is moving ahead with a $500 million expansion in Camden, adding a new seven-story Marvin Samson Pavilion with more private rooms, operating rooms, and advanced cardiac and stroke services. Local and state leaders say the project, alongside Cooper’s multibillion-dollar growth, signals long-term investment in Camden’s healthcare access, jobs, and neighborhood stability through at least 2028. 
2. Camden Man Charged After Stabbing in Supermarket Parking Lot (wpgtalkradio.com) — A Camden County man has been charged after a woman was stabbed multiple times in an Audubon Acme supermarket parking lot, then taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, identified as a Camden resident, is being held at Camden County Correctional Facility on multiple assault and weapons charges while awaiting a detention hearing.
3. Paramount Pictures Films 'Little Falls' at Battleship New Jersey, Camden (wmmr.com) — A major Paramount Pictures production, Little Falls, is currently filming in and around Camden, including on the Battleship New Jersey, and will continue into early July. The shoot is hiring dozens of local extras and using large-scale equipment, underscoring Camden’s growing appeal as a hub for big-budget film projects and the economic activity they can bring to the area.
4. Cooper plans $300 million outpatient campus in southern New Jersey (dotmed.com) — Camden-based Cooper University Health Care is launching a $300 million outpatient campus in nearby Gloucester Township while also advancing a separate multibillion‑dollar expansion in Camden itself. The new site will become Cooper’s largest ambulatory campus, offering cancer care, surgery, and multiple specialties, and is expected to open to patients in spring 2029 after approvals and construction over the next few years.
5. Son of South Jersey kebab shop owners facing his own deportation fight (whyy.org) — A Camden County family behind Jersey Kebab is fighting to stay in the U.S., as son Muhammed Emanet faces possible deportation despite deep roots in Somerdale and surrounding towns.
