• Iavarone keys fourth-quarter rally as West Essex downs Chatham (nj.com subscription) — Chatham High's football team fell 24-14 to West Essex at Cougar Field after surrendering a fourth-quarter lead, dropping the Cougars to 1-1. Quarterback Ryan Hogan connected on two long touchdown passes, but West Essex's late surge proved decisive. Chatham now looks to regroup with a road game at Morristown next week.
