• Cranford police officer gets DWI ticket after crash (wpgtalkradio.com) — A longtime Cranford police officer has been suspended after receiving three tickets, including DWI and leaving the scene, following an early-morning crash at Centennial Avenue and East South Avenue. The officer, a Cranford native recognized previously for lifesaving work, is under investigation while local police decline further comment.
   

• Worrell's three rushing touchdowns power Cranford football past Scotch Plains-Fanwood (nj.com subscription) — Cranford High School's football team rolled to a 40–14 win over Scotch Plains-Fanwood, powered by three first-half rushing touchdowns from Gabe Worrell and a dominant ground game. Quarterback Aidan Capizzi added two scoring passes as Cranford's defense racked up multiple sacks and stifled Scotch Plains-Fanwood's offense to keep the Cougars unbeaten at 2–0.
