‘Jersey Shore’ Star, Morris Co. Resident, Reveals Cancer Diagnosis

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A wildly popular reality television star, who now calls Morris County her home, has revealed that she’s been diagnosed with cervical cancer.

Nicole “Snookie” Polizzi, of the “Jersey Shore,” recently took to TikTok not only to reveal her stage one cervical cancer diagnosis, but to encourage women to get the preemptive care required to keep themselves healthy.

“Obviously not the news I was hoping for, but also not the worst news, just because they caught it so early, thank freaking God,” she said. “That’s why I’m literally telling you guys to get your pap smears done… Instead of just putting it off because I didn’t want to go, and it hurt, and I was scared, I just went and did it.”

The 38-year-old says she was specifically diagnosed with Stage 1B1 adenocarcinoma of the cervix. Polizzi added that she’d been struggling with “abnormal pap smears” for three to four years before the diagnosis.

The news comes exactly a month after Polizzi posted a separate video where she revealed the cancer scare, in which she also advocated that women get preemptive care.

Polizzi added that she’ll likely undergo a hysterectomy to avoid future complications.

“2026 is not panning out how I wanted it to,” she said. “But also, it could be worse. It could be very much worse.”

Polizzi lives in Florham Park with her husband of 11 years and three children. Now a podcaster and business owner, Polizzi was an original member of “Jersey Shore,” a reality television program that ran on MTV for six seasons between 2009 and 2012.

Polizzi’s former costars have expressed support for her, with Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola calling her “the strongest woman,” and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino posting, “Sending prayers full of love, promotion and healing to our girl @snooki.”
