Edison District Ordered To Bus Kindergarten Student After Delay (patch.com) — A state administrative law judge has ordered the Edison school district to provide bus transportation for a kindergarten student after the family's timely request went unanswered and the district gave shifting explanations. The ruling, later supported by New Jersey's education commissioner, requires Edison to continue busing the child to Benjamin Franklin Elementary until it can document a valid reason to deny service.
   

2. Developer wants to bring 94 apartments to a busy Edison corner (mycentraljersey.com) — Edison officials will soon weigh a proposal for a 94-unit, eight-story luxury apartment building at Municipal Boulevard and Hoey Drive, near the municipal building. While Mercer County saw the steepest recent increases, Edison-area renters face two-bedroom fair market rents around $2,623, underscoring how proximity to New York City and major job centers keeps local housing costs elevated.

Wardlaw+Hartridge Orientation  Prepares Students for Academic Year (tapinto.net) — Edison's Wardlaw+Hartridge School has kicked off the new year by welcoming 73 new students and their families for a full day of orientation on September 1. New Middle and Upper School students met teachers, advisors, and student ambassadors, while parents heard from school leaders and toured campus spaces to get ready for the academic year.
