• 'We Will Rebuild': Edison Elks Thank Community After Fire Destroys Lodge (patch.com) — A devastating fire has destroyed the Edison Elks Lodge on Old Post Road, but members say they're determined to rebuild and are already getting strong support from neighbors and local officials. The East Brunswick Elks are running a coffee fundraiser to help cover rebuilding costs, while Edison's mayor and fire department continue working with lodge leaders as the cause of the blaze is investigated.
   

• Bentley Laboratories LLC - 732028 - 09/17/2026 (fda.gov) — Federal regulators have issued a detailed warning letter to Bentley Laboratories on Fieldcrest Avenue in Edison, citing serious manufacturing and testing violations for over-the-counter drug products. The FDA says the company's processes failed to meet safety and quality standards, has noted production has been suspended, and is demanding extensive corrective actions before operations resume.
   

• Fifth District AHEPA Family Cancer Research Foundation Receives $10K Donation (thenationalherald.com) — A regional cancer research foundation is celebrating a record $10,000 donation that will boost seed grants for scientists in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Those grants will be awarded at a November 7 Celebration Gala at Pines Manor in Edison, giving local residents a chance to support cutting-edge cancer research close to home.
