A civil lawsuit claims pandemic relief funds tied to the Englishtown property were diverted to cover debts at out-of-state hotels, with authorities now seeking massive financial penalties and repayment. 
• New Jersey Adopts 2024 National Standard Plumbing Code (contractormag.com) — Englishtown plumbers and apprentices training at UA Local 9’s center in town will soon be working under New Jersey’s newly adopted 2024 plumbing code. The updated rules emphasize sustainable water use, new fixture standards, and clearer illustrated guidance that contractors, inspectors, and trainees across the state will rely on for future projects.
