Bagel Shop Worker May Have Prevented NJ Restaurant Fire From Spreading: Officials (patch.com) — An early-morning worker at Hot Bagels on Saddle River Road spotted heavy smoke and quickly called 911, helping Fair Lawn firefighters stop a growing blaze before it spread further. About 35 Fair Lawn firefighters and multiple local emergency agencies responded, knocking down the fire within 10 minutes, limiting damage to the shop, and preventing any injuries while the Fire Prevention Bureau investigates the cause.
